This is the basic website for my turn based graphical roguelike strategy/RPG game.

NEW ACTION - STANDING on CONTAINERS + FURNITURE . Standing on furniture allows you to climb back up holes to the level above, and well as potentially jump 3 squares instead of just the normal 2 max. Also standing on furniture gives you a combat bonus, and makes it less likely to be hit on the head, but more likely on the legs.
Starz above knocked out characters.
Smashed wooden furniture yeilds torches,
NEW ACTION - THROW ITEM , now you can throw your stuff around the map. Not much use, except at the moment potions will put out fires if thrown at them. And lit torches will set fire to oil patches. Quicksand and lava will consume your items, so be aware.
Minecarts are now containers, and you have to stand on it, via the right mouse menu, rather than just walk on it to activate the minecart. Now as containers, you can store your stuff in the cart.

Introduced better messages, including the function to scroll back to past messages.
New CONTAINER objects. Chests are now persistant "objects", items are generated at game initialization rather than when chests are being searched. You can also drag and push containers such as chests around, to use as barricades. You can also STORE items in chests for use later. Also chests/containers face your character when interacted with. CONTAINERS can also be locked, which require repeated striking with a weapon to break open, to reveal their contents. CONTAINERS of a certain size can't be jumped over or pushed through doorways.
LOAD|SAVE overhauled, no longer compatable with previous versions. Improved LOAD|SAVE GUI. Multiple load save files.
Replaced Barrel GFX, New WARDROBE container.

Mouse routines completely rewritten, new particle animations added, GUI improved.
Game runs at user desktop colour depth, fixes Windows colour depth problem.
Cleaned/merged splash screen into main menu.
Game now uses timers to update display rather than as a response to each action.
A*/B- path finding implemented.
Monster intelligence implemented, and better AI. Certain monster can't equip/carry items, other will hunt out food etc, opening doors etc.
Made all the levels procedurally generated. With a single Labryrinthe level halfway thru.
More "intuitive" interface, including left-mouse-click and drag movement

i) Randomly Generated 11 level dungeon, with traps, monsters, interactive environment, and a few surprises.
ii) 3 Difficulty levels, featuring Permadeath.
iii) 4 Different Quests, and random character generation
iv) Tactical turn based, movement allowance game. Including FOV and lighting based on which direction your character is facing,
v) Encumbering weight system, where the more you carry the less far you can move in a turn, and slower you become.
